I am a first-year PhD student in the History department studying modern Chinese history. I have a BA in English Literature from Mills College and an MA in East Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to my academic work, I also have social media and marketing experience from working at various NGOs and private companies, such as The Oakland Ballet, the US-Asia Institute, and The Escape Game (where my biggest claim to fame was “a new escape room for dogs” video for April Fool’s!). In my spare time, you’ll find me knitting and crocheting or exploring Davis’ beautiful trails and parks.
