COVID-19: DEI-HDT Mental Health Initiative

What is the HDT Mental Health Initiative?

The Healthy Davis Together project aims to provide support for mental health needs specifically due to the impacts of the pandemic both on and off-campus, to ensure that communities in need are supported and well-served.

The initiative will include hired professionals to help mental health needs and offer free or reduced-cost mental health and therapy resources, including the use of telehealth approaches. Investments will be made in mental health, wellness, and suicide prevention kits, motivational speakers, and workshops.

Each Aggie Matters - #ThisIsUCDavis campaign

Each Aggie Matters is UC Davis' Mental Health Movement uniting the campus community in open and affirming dialogue about mental health. This movement brings together students, scholars, staff, faculty, and other UC Davis affiliates to collectively raise mental health awareness, de-stigmatize mental illness, and cultivate mental health as a state of flourishing.

Their newest campaign, #ThisIsUCDavis, is centered on three core values: diversity, mental health, and resilience. The campaign brings the campus community together by featuring opportunities for student engagement, mental health support, and a shared commitment to supporting student mental well-being during COVID-19. During spring quarter, the campaign is offering emergency mental health grants, Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training, movies for mental health, and community mental health grants.
